There is a high rate of injury/ scarring from over the counter mole and skin tag removal products. Many of these are obtained from Amazon, and unregulated sites. Please see the attached article, from a dermatology journal. We have seen this in our practice, and wanted to bring this to the attention of our patients and the public. PLEASE avoid these products, and discuss safer and better ways of removing skin tags, moles, etc. with the providers at the Center for Dermatology.
