Shurong Chang, MD PHD

Dr. Chang received her B.S. with thesis honor distinction from Peking University (also known as Beijing University) in Beijing, China. After obtaining her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees with honors from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Dr. Chang moved to Northern California to join her family. She completed her internship in preliminary Internal Medicine at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, followed by residency in Dermatology at University of California Davis Medical Center. Dr. Chang has published in high-profile journals including Cell and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Dr. Chang is fluent in English and Mandarin.

Sunil S. Dhawan, MD

Dr. Dhawan is a graduate of San Francisco State University and the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at U.C.S.F followed by a residency in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami, where he was also Chief Resident. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Dermatology. Dr. Dhawan is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Dermatology. He also is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the Stanford University, Department of Dermatology, where he teaches dermatology residents and medical students. In addition to English, he speaks Hindi.

Olivia Martinez, MSN, FNP-C

Olivia joined Center for Dermatology in 2016. She is a board certified Nurse Practitioner. Prior to joining the Center for Dermatology, she worked as a nurse practitioner in primary care at a community health based clinic in Bakersfield, California for 18 months. She also has a diverse medical background working as a registered nurse for 9 years in medical-surgical and emergency care departments.

She earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Holy Names University in Oakland, California, and a Bachelor of Science Nursing degree from California State University in Bakersfield, California. She is also a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has a deep passion in the field of dermatology, and provides care for a variety of cosmetic and medical dermatology conditions. She looks forward to assisting you and your family with all your skin care needs.

Jaymie Vasquez, RN

Jaymie received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences at California State University of East Bay in 2017. She then continued her studies to complete her nursing degree at Roseman University in 2020. Since working for Center For Dermatology, Jaymie loves getting to know her patients and making sure their needs are met. Her goal is to make patients feel comfortable and confident in their own skin. Jaymie is trained and certified with Photomedex XTRAC laser that is used to treat patients with psoriasis, dermatitis and vitiligo. She is also trained with our newest microneedling radiofrequency machine, the Pixel8-RF.

Rachel Carandang R.N.

Rachel received an AA degree in Biology with an emphasis in Allied Health from Chabot College in 2007. She continued on and received her AA degree in Registered Nursing from Ohlone College in 2010. Rachel has experience in medical, surgical, neonatal, mental health, and home health care. She joined our practice in 2012 where she was trained and certified to treat patients with our PhotoMedex XTRAC Laser. She continues her education in Dermatology nursing and our other cosmetic laser treatments.

Tiffany Nguyen, PA-C

Tiffany is a California-licensed Physician Assistant who is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science and received her Master of Physician Assistant Practice degree from Keck School of Medicine of USC in 2023. Upon graduating, she was inducted into Pi Alpha, the national honor society for PAs.

Prior to PA school, Tiffany gained clinical experience working as a medical assistant in a dermatology and Mohs surgery clinic for five years. As a PA student, she additionally completed a 10-week elective rotation in dermatology, which reinforced her passion for the field.

Tiffany is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She is thrilled to join the Center for Dermatology team to help provide dermatologic care in the community she grew up in. She speaks English and Vietnamese. In her free time, she loves trying new food and dessert spots.

Molly Ahmadzai – Licensed Esthetician

Molly has 15 years’ of experience as a skincare specialist in the medical/cosmetic dermatology practice. She is professionally trained with modern skin care products and skin treatments, Dermasweep microdermabrasions, with infsuions, HydraFacial, Glycolic peels, Skinmedica peels, Jan Marini peels and waxing.

She specializes in a range of skin disorders, such as, hyperpigmentation, acne, fine lines and wrinkles. She will recommend appropriate products to compliment the treatments she provides.

Andrea Caro, PA-C

Andrea is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. She is licensed in California and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Andrea earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from California State University, East Bay, and went on to complete her Master of Physician Assistant degree at Samuel Merritt University.

With a passion for comprehensive dermatologic care, Andrea is dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, radiant skin while feeling confident and comfortable. She provides a wide range of medical dermatology services, including treatment for acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, contact dermatitis, and skin cancer screenings. She also specializes in cosmetic dermatology, offering acne scar treatments, dermal fillers, hair loss solutions, neurotoxins, and more.

Andrea is thrilled to be part of a collaborative and patient-centered team, where she is committed to delivering personalized, compassionate care to every patient. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys hiking, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her beloved dog, Zoey.

Jaspreet Gahunia, MSN, FNP-C

Jaspreet Gahunia, MSN, FNP-C, is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in medical and aesthetic dermatology. She completed her undergraduate studies at California State University, Sacramento, and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from United States University in San Diego.

She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners (SDNP), and International Master Course on Aging Science (IMCAS), and has completed formal training in neuromodulators and dermal fillers since 2023. Jaspreet continues to advance her dermatologic expertise through national and international training programs focused on emerging techniques in both medical and aesthetic dermatology.

Her foundation in dermatology, aesthetic medicine, medical–surgical care, and mental health is complemented by experience in respected healthcare systems including Kaiser Permanente, Sutter Health, and Stanford Health. This broad clinical background strengthens her comprehensive understanding of skin health and disease.

Known for her soft, precise, and naturally refined aesthetic style, Jaspreet integrates evidence-based dermatologic science with a modern, artistic perspective.
