Update:

The providers of the Center for Dernatology, lead by Dr Chang and Dr Dhawan, along with Hedva Redlich, Practice Administrator, participated in a successful Skin Cancer screening on 4/11/26.

36 community members were screened and educated on skin cancer and prevention.
Olivia Martinez and Jaspreet Gahunia, both Nurse Practitioners, and Tiffany Nguyen and Andrea Caro, both Physician Assistants, took time on a Saturday to assist in this valuable community service.

Ms Kayla Gupta , of Washington Hospital, and Washington Hospital Volunteers helped to organize and run the successful event.

The event is part of the National Skin Cancer Screening initiative of the American Academy of Dermatology, the premier national dermatology professional organization.

Skin Cancer Screening on April 11th, 2026:

The Physicians and mid level providers of the Center for Dermatology provided a free Skin Cancer Screening on April 10th 2025, in cooperation with the Washington Hospital . Over 40 patients were screened, and counselled about skin cancer, and the event was well received and appreciated.

The next screening will be held on 4/ 11/2026. Information and appointments are available on the Washington Hospital website.
